Final Report

The final report of the Youth Work and Social Networking project was published on 26th September 2008.

The final report offers both theoretical and practical perspectives on how youth work can best support young people to navigate the risks and make the most of the opportunities of online social networking.

Our hope is that it not only offers an insight into how young people and youth services are currently engaging with social network sites and online social networking, but that it also offers practical 'take away' resources for any youth service or youth setting seeking to establish safe social networking policies; to develop staff skills; and to take a sustainable and strategic approach to engagement with online social networking.

We will be blogging key themes from the report over the coming weeks.
